Driver education students created a mural to educate the public about safe driving.
Warren Hills Regional High School driver education students were presented with a joint legislative resolution recently, recognizing their efforts in educating the public about safe driving.
The resolution, drafted by Sen. Mike Doherty and Assemblymen John DiMaio and Erik Peterson, was presented in response to the January unveiling of Motormorphosis, a stained-glass mural created to educate fellow students and the public about distracted driving.
The mural was created in collaboration with the Nikhil Badlani Foundation, which seeks to "promote safe driving among all populations."
Every student in the driver education program last fall was involved in the creation of the mural, facilitated by the president of the foundation, Sangeeta Badlani, and local artist Cindy Klein. The mural will be photographed and transformed into a PSA that will be displayed at every NJTransit station.
