Washington Township senior village and child care center join forces in learning project.
Friendship Center children and Heath Village residents recently participated in a maple tapping demonstration presented by Kevin Newport, Heath Village director of grounds.
Children were able to see how a tree is tapped for maple sugar and hear more about the process of how maple syrup is produced.
Other experiences shared by residents and children include pen pal relationships, craft projects, holiday parties and story hours.
Heath Village is located in Washington Township, Morris County, just over the Warren County border.
