H.A.R.T. (Hackettstown Ambitious Robotics Team) was one of only two rookie teams in the field.

Not only did the team qualify 15th against seasoned competition, it received two awards one of which - The FIRST Mid-Atlantic Rookie All-Star -- which automatically qualifies it for the Mid-Atlantic championships at Lehigh University April 13-16.

The acronym FIRST refers to For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology

This award "celebrates the rookie team exemplifying a young but strong partnership effort, as well as implementing the mission of FIRST to inspire students to learn more about science and technology." Only a handful of teams in the Mid-Atlantic region receive this award annually.

The other award was for highest seed by a rookie team.
