A national rehabilitation-service provider is looking at Warren County to establish a treatment center for substance abuse and eating disorders.
An application for the proposed facility near the entrance to the Panther Valley community will be heard Thursday by the Allamuchy Township Land Use Board.
Advanced Recovery Systems LLC seeks to establish the facility at 25/27 Rutherford Road, using the dwelling already there and building eight 5,600-square-foot cottages, in addition to parking and recreational amenities, according to a legal notice.
According to its website, Advanced Recovery Systems is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and runs four treatment centers -- three in Florida and one in Colorado.
The land use board hearing is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Allamuchy Township municipal building, 292 Alphano Road.
