It took more than two hours to get the fire under control.

Fighting a brush fire Thursday afternoon about a mile into the woods off Reservoir Lane in White Township required alternative vehicles and the blaze took more than two hours to bring under control.

Traditional bush trucks couldn't access the fire scene so firefighters either hiked in or used off-road vehicles equipped with firefighting gear.
