A vehicle carrying multiple passengers has struck a tree along I-80 in Hope Township, New Jersey State Police said.

At least two people are entrapped after a vehicle carrying multiple passengers left the highway and struck a tree along Interstate 80 in Hope Township, New Jersey State Police say.
(file photo) The single-vehicle crash occurred at 11:32 a.m. in the eastbound lane near mile-marker 11.3. State police Sgt. Jeffrey Flynn said a helicopter has been called out to the scene.
Injuries are unknown at this time.
Crews have shut down the left lane of the highway. Hackettstown EMS and North Warren EMS are assisting state police at the scene.
