One accident caused a tree to fall onto the highway, according to state police.
A pair of crashes Saturday morning on Interstate 80 resulted in no injuries but some delays as the highway's westbound lanes were closed, according to New Jersey State Police.
The first occurred about 7:20 a.m. when a car went off the road and into a tree at mile marker 8.7 in Blairstown Township, causing the tree to fall onto the highway, state police said.
The second, which may have been caused by rubbernecking, happened a short time later when an SUV went off the road and overturned, state police report.
No injuries were reported in either crash. The westbound side of the highway was closed for about an hour.
