John Hoff and William Vannatta paid a visit to the Van Nest-Hoff-Vannatta farmstead in Harmony Township.

While many members of the Van Nest, Hoff and Vannatta families have visited the Van Nest-Hoff-Vannatta farmstead in Harmony Township, Warren County, recently two namesake family members that actually owned the property back in the 1800s paid a visit.

John Hoff and William Vannatta met and discussed family history and the farmstead' history.

It was John Hoff who owned and later willed the property to William Vannatta in 1856 after his death.

The Vannatta family owned the property for 104 years, later selling it to the Hartung family and eventually to the state for Highlands Walking trail.

Ongoing renovations continue at the farmstead with the Harmony Historical Society's guidance.
