Computer science students take a trip to the University of Pennsylvania to learn more about opportunities for women.
Warren Hills Regional High School's computer science students attended the University of Pennsylvania's Women in Computer Science and Engineering program sponsored by WICS UPenn last month.
The students attended classes, toured labs and had the opportunity to speak with female students.
Currently, females make up only 18 percent of the students who study engineering and computer science across the country. Programs like this are designed to encourage women to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers.
