Warren County on Saturday will honor 47 veterans for their service.
It is the 12th annual ceremony at the county war memorial next to the courthouse at the corner of Second and Mansfield streets in Belvidere.
The event is scheduled for 11 a.m.
Freeholders and the Warren County War Memorial Corp. will present medals for distinguished military service. Thirty-one of the honorees or their families are expected to attend, according to a county news release.
The county's Distinguished Military Service Medal has been awarded to more than 2,000 veterans since the program started in 2003.
Spectators are welcome, the county said, but should bring lawn chairs if they do not wish to stand for the hour-long ceremony. The intersection will be closed to traffic for the duration.
