Warren County Community College Michelle Cupo and Stasha Heinrich, both of Oxford, were selected as part of the 2016 New Jersey All-State Academic Team.
The women were honored by the New Jersey Council of County Colleges along with only 35 other students from the state's 19 community colleges.
The were honored at the 22nd annual Phi Theta Kappa Day celebration on May 5, at a special ceremony in Trenton.

Dr. Mary O'Sullivan, of Saints Philip and James School, was awarded the Junior Division Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award for New Jersey.
As a winner of this award O'Sullivan is nominated for the National Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award at the Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest in June 2016.
The National Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award is given to one junior division (grades 6-8) and one senior division (grades 9-12) teacher who has shown outstanding creativity, commitment, and inspiration in developing student interest in history education.

The Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, Kevin Thieme, of Bethlehem, was commissioned into the U.S. Navy during a ceremony on May 6. Thieme received a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering during commencement on May 7.
Citadel Class of 2016 graduate, Rocco Consiglio, of Nazareth, was commissioned into the U.S. Army during a May 6 ceremony. He received a degree in criminal justice May 7.

Brett M. Bonfanti, of Easton Area High School has been named Fordham University's Class of 2016 Valedictorian. He will also be receiving honors for his nomination to Phi Betta Kappa. He will address the class on May 19, and walk in his graduation on May 21. He is employed by NBC Studios in Manhattan. A member of the choir at Our Lady of Mercy parish, in Easton, he and will be singing for its closing mass set for May 29.

Brian J. Panella of Easton, received the Dean Arthur A. Weeks Outstanding Service Award, from Widener University Delaware Law School at a recent ceremony. He also received an outstanding student service award. Panella, son of Jack and Jeanne Panella, will graduate May 21. He plans to take the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar exams. He has accepted a position with Goudsouzian and Associates.

Sabrina M. Hendershot, of Easton, received the Fairfax Leary Jr. Memorial Scholarship from Widener University Delaware Law School, She also received the Dean Anthony J. Santoro Scholarship, and the William Prickett, Jr. Corporate Law Award, given for outstanding achievement in corporate law. She was recognized for holding a prestigious Josiah Oliver Wolcott Fellowship, in which she clerked for a Delaware Supreme Court justice during her final year of law school, and she received an outstanding student service award. Hendershot will graduate summa cum laude on May 21, ranked third in her class. She plans to take the Delaware bar exam and has accepted a clerkship with Justice Collins J. Seitz Jr. of the Delaware Supreme Court. She is the daughter of Gina Pretopapa, of Easton.
