Saturday’s Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex track and field championships brought hardware across the board for lehighvalleylive squads.
Every one of the six area schools claimed at least one gold medal, North Hunterdon’s girls captured the team title and Hackettstown senior Nioami Miranda won the female Outstanding Track Athlete award in the event at Stewart Field at Hunterdon Central.
Among the individual winners were North Hunterdon’s Eric Moul in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles, Delaware Valley’s Kathleen Butler in the shot put and Warren Hills’ Hannah Foley in the pole vault.
Girls meet records were set by Phillipsburg’s Sydney Hawkins in the 100-meter dash, North Hunterdon’s Anna DiMarcello in the 800-meter run, and Wallkill Valley’s Samantha Lopes in the triple jump. The only boys’ meet record set was Phillipsburg’s Manny Romero in the triple jump.
Hunterdon Central’s boys won the team title by a 96-point margin, and Central’s David Scheier was named the male Outstanding Track Athlete award as he won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes.
