Maria Eppolite was selected Warren County's Superintendent of the Year while Lisa Masi, a Ridge and Valley Charter School Teacher was accepted into a sustainable education program.
The Warren County Chapter of the New Jersey Association of School Administrators named Greenwich and Bloomsbury Superintendent Maria Eppolite Warren County's Superintendent of the Year.
With over 34 years experience, Eppolite has been the superintendent in the GTSD since 2009 and became the shared superintendent for Bloomsbury in 2014. She has been instrumental in implementing all state and national standards, upgrading technology for 21st century learners, expanding enterprise opportunities to offset district expenses and pursuing meaningful professional development for herself and staff. Her continued drive and dedication to excellence has enabled the district to expand its STEAM programming and exceed state and district expectations on factor group scores on standardized tests.
The next step in the process for Eppolite will be consideration for the regional superintendent of the year and will be eligible for selection as a New Jersey candidate to participate in the AASA National Superintendent of the Year Award.

Lisa Masi, a resident of Green Township, NJ and a longtime teacher and Leadership Team member at Ridge and Valley Charter School in Blairstown, NJ has been accepted into the first ever Education for Sustainability Leadership Academy at Shelburne Farms. Shelburne is an internationally-known nonprofit organization educating for a sustainable future. The home campus is a 1,400-acre working farm, forest, and National Historic Landmark in Shelburne, VT.
Masi was just one of 14 educational leaders from around the country to be chosen.
