Weather forecasters predict a heat wave the next four days.
As temperatures are expected to soar over the next four days, Hackettstown residents are being invited to beat the heat at the municipal building.
The municipal building, 215 W. Stiger St., will become a "cooling center" from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, officials said. Residents who lose power will also be able to charge devices through a charging station that will be set up.
The National Weather Service predicts highs over the next four days of 94, 93, 91 and 90. Heat indexes by Thursday could reach 100 degrees, weather forecasters say.
