Central and eastern Warren County was under a warning. Flood advisories were issued for the rest of the region.
Strong storms are rolling through the area Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service at 4:30 p.m. issued a severe thunderstorm warning for central and eastern Warren County, including Washington and Hackettstown, until 5:15 p.m.
The line of storms is capable of producing 60-mph winds and penny-size hail, according to the service's warning.

Much of the rest of the region is included in a flood advisory until 7:45 p.m. Some places have seen up to an inch of rain, and some roads may be underwater, the weather service said.
Motorists are urged not to drive through areas where water covers the road.
