9 fire departments respond to Holland Township blaze (PHOTOS)

A total of nine fire departments responded to a house fire at a Walden Road house in Holland Township on July 9, 2016.

HOLLAND - A fire at a house off Walden Road was brought under control early Sunday morning.

The fire, first reported shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, was brought under control around 12:30 a.m.

A total of nine fire departments from Hunterdon and Warren counties and from Bucks County in Pennsylvania responded. A tanker task force helped ferry water to the house because of a lack of hydrants in the area. There were no reports of injuries.

28 big fires in 6 months in Central Jersey

Responding to the fire were fire departments from Holland, Milford, Pattenburg, Quakertown, Frenchtown, Bloomsbury, Sergeantville, Alpha (Warren County) and Upper Black Eddy (Pennsylvania).

In addition, the Hunterdon County Fire Coordinators, New Jersey State Fire Marshal and Hunterdon County Tanker Task Force responded. Holland Township police, the
Milford-Holland Rescue Squad and Clinton Rescue Squad also responded.
