It's the third major find in less than a month at the Warren County weigh station.

One New Jersey highway weigh station has been cleaning up lately.

First, it was a marijuana stash that topped $300,000.

Then, it was nearly $3 million worth of heroin.

And most recently, New Jersey State troopers discovered a haul of cocaine and heroin together worth $5.4 million.

"That's a ton of garbage off the street," said state police spokesman Sgt. Jeff Flynn.

All three shipments were uncovered this month at the Interstate 78 station in Greenwich Township.

The biggest find happened Tuesday during a routine inspection, when a trooper found several boxes that didn't belong among the tractor-trailer's produce cargo, Flynn said. They allegedly contained 64 kilograms of heroin and 10 kilograms of cocaine, he said.

The driver, Henry A. Cruz Ventura, 46, of Los Angeles, is charged with possession and intent to distribute. He was sent to the Warren County jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

The same charges have been levied against two other California truckers already this month.

On Aug. 14, authorities allegedly uncovered 36 kilograms of heroin worth $2.8 million, state police said. Bail was set at $200,000 for Oscar Franco, 58, of Chula Vista, who remains in custody.

On Aug. 9, 52-year-old Eric T. Shan of Baldwin Park, Calif., was charged after troopers allegedly found 54 pounds of marijuana -- $324,000 worth -- inside two boxes in a trailer. His bail was set at $175,000, which he has since posted.
