A 36-year-old man from Morris County is accused of striking two New Jersey businesses, police said.
A 36-year-old Morris County man concealed nearly $130 worth of alcohol and baby formula in a stealing spree that spanned two businesses, Hackettstown police said.
Charged is Joe Rich III, of Morris Plains.
Rich at 9:16 p.m. Saturday entered ShopRite Wine & Spirits, 80 Main St., and placed a bottle of Bowman vodka under his sweatshirt and fled the store, police said. The alcohol was valued at $8.
He then went to the neaby CVS store, 85 Main St., and stole four packages of Similac baby formula and placed it into a bag, according to police. The formula was valued at $119.
Investigators determined Rich was the suspect in both thefts. Police charged him with two counts of shoplifting and released him pending a court appearance.
