BLOOMSBURY - The fifth annual Spooky Sprint 5K Run & Family Fun Walk took place on Saturday.
North Hunterdon Regional High School student Andrew Trapp, 15, won the race for the third consecutive year with a time of 17:30. The second and third place finishers - Korey McNally and Braden Keenan of Belvidere High School, also finished under 18 minutes, according to a news release.
The top female finisher, Emily Casterline, crossed the line after 22 minutes and 27 seconds.
All proceeds from the race benefit the Bloomsbury Elementary PTO.
In addition to the 5K, children enjoyed trick or treating along the 1-mile fun course, as well as got the chance to decorate pumpkins face of have their face painted.
Members of the Bloomsbury Elementary PTO, Bloomsbury Hose Co. and Bloomsbury Recreation Committee volunteered their time.
