N.J. man airlifted after plunging 20 feet from roof

The 50-year-old was performing tree work at the time of the fall, according to police.

A 50-year-old Edison, N.J., man was airlifted to an area hospital after falling 20 feet to the ground off a roof, Hackettstown police said.

The man, who police did not identify, just before 3 p.m. Friday was performing tree work at a home in the 300 block of Sharp Street when he suddenly fell.

Police said he sustained injuries to his pelvic area and was flown to Morristown Medical Center. Police were unsure of the man's condition Tuesday.
