The crash happened just before 8:50 p.m. Thursday.

A woman was taken to Newton Medical Center after a one-vehicle rollover crash Thursday night on Route 94 in Frelinghuysen Township, authorities and an eyewitness account confirm.

The woman was driving a pickup truck north on the icy highway near Lincoln Laurel Road when it slid just before 8:50 p.m., caught support wires of a utility pole and overturned. The woman got herself out of the truck, was looked over by North Warren emergency medical personnel and was taken to the hospital.

Emergency workers had trouble negotiating the slippery street.

New Jersey State Police at Hope said there were several similar wrecks on Thursday, but the reports weren't done to provide further detail. The Warren County Department of Public Safety first reported the rollover crash at 8:49 p.m., placing it between mile markers 12 and 13.

In addition to state police and the medical personnel, Blairstown police and the Blairstown Hose Company assisted at the scene.

Freelance photographer Robert Halberstadt provided information for this report.
