All who served will be honored on Veterans Day.
In honor of the 65th anniversary of the Korean War's start, the Phillipsburg Area Veterans group will pay special attention to those veterans at its Nov. 8 observance.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has honored the 18th annual William L. Nixon Veterans Day Tribute as a regional site for the observance of the Nov. 11 commemoration.
"From stirring parades and ceremonies to military exhibits and tributes to distinguished veterans, these events serve as models for other communities to follow in planning their own observances," the department says on its website.

The event at Phillipsburg High School will be open to surrounding communities, and all veterans will be recognized, according to a news release from the nonprofit group, which is headed by U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and retired local educator Bill Nixon.
It will feature an Army Blackhawk helicopter landing and a live video feed to the Korean War Memorial in Honolulu, as well as speeches, musical performances and other tributes. A Vietnam veteran will receive his high school diploma during the ceremony.
