The motorist's injuries were not severe, police said.
A driver wasn't badly injured in a rollover crash early Friday morning after he swerved to avoid a raccoon in a snowstorm in Lopatcong Township, police said.
The township rescue squad took Joseph Bruzzese, of the Bethlehem area, to St. Luke's Hospital in Phillipsburg as a precaution after the man rolled a Scion just after 12:30 a.m. on Route 57, about a quarter-mile east of Route 519, police said.
Route 57 was closed for about 45 minutes between Route 519 and Liberty Road.
The investigation is continuing and Bruzzese wasn't cited, police said.
Township police and rescue personnel were assisted by New Jersey State Police, the township fire department, Greenwich Township police and Pohatcong Township police.
