Peter Baglio allegedly walked away from a halfway house because he was afraid he'd fail a drug test.
LEHIGH, Pa. -- A man who recently walked away from a halfway house and then went on a burglary spree across several counties in Pennsylvania, was previously charged in connection with a burglary in Hopatcong.
Peter Baglio III, 42, of Newark, was recently charged with stealing thousands of dollars in jewelry, coins and cash from homes in Allegheny, Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, Northampton and Luzerne counties between Dec. 8 through Dec. 20, Lehigh Valley Live reported.
Baglio told police he left the halfway house because he was afraid he'd fail a drug test, according to the report.
He also reportedly told officers he targeted middle-income homes in less populated areas, and would break into these homes between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Baglio was previously arrested by an off-duty officer in Hopatcong in June 2013 in connection with a burglary on Brendona Avenue.
