The crash closed the highway west of Exit 4 for Routes 94 and 46.

Two New Jersey State Troopers were hurt in a crash Thursday afternoon that closed Interstate 80 in Warren County.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation as of 2:45 p.m. reported the crash happened east of Exit 4 for Routes 94 and 46 in Knowlton Township, about four miles from the Pennsylvania line.

The crash initially closed three of four westbound lanes approaching the Delaware Water Gap. Since then, DOT's 511nj.org showed that the highway was closed and detoured, with delays up to 40 minutes. Readers reported being stranded in standstill traffic on the highway for up to 2 hours.

At least one lane appeared to have reopened as of 5:20 p.m.
