Mostly small charges were applied, totaling just less than $700, according to police.

A stolen credit card was used over two weeks last fall to fund trips to fast food joints and discount shopping, according to criminal charges.

Darlene C. Roe, 47, of the 600 block of Liberty Boulevard in Pohatcong Township, acquired the stolen card Sept. 23, township police say in charges filed at state Superior Court in Belvidere. It was not clear from the documents how Roe got the card, though the charges suggest it was either "lost, mislaid" or mistakenly delivered, and that Roe knew the rightful owner.

What followed was 13 days of mostly small purchases, ranging from about $170 in one shot at Walmart to $3.53 at Subway, police allege. The stolen card was also allegedly used at Stop and Shop, Wawa, Burger King and Frank's Trattoria, some places more than once in a given day.

In all, 24 fraudulent charges totaled $698.90, according to a criminal complaint.

Pair had 11 fake IDs, drugs, lots of gift cards

Roe is charged with one count of theft and 24 counts each of theft by deception and using a stolen credit card. The latter is a third-degree crime, meaning each charge carries a potential sentence of three to five years if convicted.

Roe was Warren County's fugitive of the week in October 2005, when she was wanted for violating conditions of the state's pretrial intervention program, according to The Express-Times archives. She was charged the previous year with cashing fraudulent checks totaling about $900.
