A motorist was taken to a hospital after a crash Tuesday night in Oxford Township, authorities said.
A Toyota 4Runner traveling east in the 100 block of Axford Road was rounding a right curve about 7:45 p.m. when it struck a utility pole and overturned, according to Washington Township police, who cover Oxford, and an on-scene report.
The pole broke and wires hung long across the street immediately after the crash.
The Oxford Rescue Squad took driver Ryan Winter, 21, of Oxford Township, to St. Luke's Hospital in Phillipsburg with minor injuries, police said.
Winter was cited with careless driving, police said.
Washington Township police investigated and were assisted by the rescue squad and the Oxford Fire Department.
