Two Phillipsburg men were arrested and charged with heroin possession following a two-vehicle accident on March 17, 2017, Raritan Township police said.
RARITAN TWP. - Two Phillipsburg men were arrested and charged with heroin possession following a two-vehicle accident on Friday, police said.
The accident was reported at 3:21 p.m. at the intersection of Sand Hill and Old Clinton roads, police said. Officer Michael Dendis investigated the accident. There were no injuries reported in the accident.
Justin Sigafoos, 35, who was driving, was charged with driving under the influence of heroin and possession of heroin. Benjamin Sigafoos, 60, was charged with possession of heroin, police said.

Both had been indicted by a Hunterdon County grand jury in July of 2016 of third-degree possession of heroin, according to court documents. They had been arrested and charged in East Amwell on April 22, 2016.
Justin Sigafoos was also issued motor-vehicle summonses for reckless driving, careless driving, failure to wear seat belt and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said. Benjamin Sigafoos was issued a motor-vehicle summons for failure to wear seat belt.
Both were taken to the Somerset County Jail by the Hunterdon County Sheriff's Department pending a court appearance, police said.
