Police said the man was unconscious, barely breathing and turning blue when an officer arrived.
A 20-year-old man living in a Mansfield Township home was revived by police following an apparent heroin overdose.
Police say the man, whose name wasn't released, at 6:41 p.m. Saturday was unconscious, barely breathing and turning blue when a Mansfield Township police officer arrived.
The officer began rescue breathing and administered a dose from the state-issued nasal Narcan kit. After several minutes, the man regained consciousness and was alert, police said.
He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for further treatment.
