Police said the teen appeared intoxicated during the theft.
A 19-year-old New Hampshire teen is facing charges after consuming alcohol, entering a Hackettstown convenience store and stealing various types of chips, according to police.
Charged is James Karsonovich of Hampton Hills.
Police said Karsonovich shortly after midnight Wednesday entered the QuickChek, 80 Main Street, and began removing bags of chips from the shelves. Karsonovich allegedly stole bags of Lays Dill Pickle chips, Cheetos Flamin Hot chips and Doritos Dinamita.
He then fled the store. An officer found a male matching the description of Karsonovich along Grand Avenue and police said he exhibited signs of intoxication.

Karsonovich was charged with shoplifting, consumption of alcohol by a minor and disorderly conduct. He was released pending a court appearance.
