More than 2,100 have been presented with county medals over 14 years.
Sixty-five local military veterans on Saturday joined the ranks of those honored by Warren County for their service.
The 14th annual recognition ceremony -- organized by the county freeholders and the Warren County War Memorial Corp. -- was held outside the court house in Belvidere. More than 2,100 veterans have been awarded the county's Distinguished Military Service medal since 2003.
The county also used the event to mark 100 years since the U.S. entered World War I.
