Police were continuing to investigate the incident and reach the rider's family.

A bicyclist injured in a crash Thursday evening in Warren County was flown by a medevac helicopter for treatment.

It was reported about 7:10 p.m. in the first block of Hoffman Road in Mansfield Township.

Reports from the scene indicated the rider struck a deer. That was still under investigation and could not immediately be confirmed, township police Patrolman Chris Gilbert said.

Police were not immediately identifying the rider, or a gender or age range, because they were still trying to track down family members to notify them of the incident, Gilbert said.

Atlantic Air One out of Morristown Medical Center landed at the Comcast field off Port Murray Road to rush the bicyclist for treatment, reports from the scene indicated.
