The spring Girls on the Run 5K took place in Flemington on May 21, 2017.
FLEMINGTON - The spring Girls on the Run 5K took place in the borough on Sunday afternoon.
Organized by Girls on the Run of Hunterdon, Bucks and Warren counties, the 5K is the culmination of a 10-week program. Girls in the third through the eighth grades work with trained coaches, taking part in the race at the end of the program.
The program includes a community service project. One of the goals is to instill in the girls a lifelong interest in fitness, according to the organization's website.
