The incident occurred just before midnight, police said.
A New Jersey man was arrested after a patrol officer allegedly found him in a convenience store parking lot with his door open and stereo blaring just before midnight.
Charged is William Dawson Jr., 44, of Hampton.
Police found Dawson at 11:58 p.m. June 22 outside the QuickChek, 30 Belvidere Ave., in Washington Borough. He was charged with violating a local ordinance for maintaining a nuisance.

Dawson was later released with a pending court date.
