Man was unconscious with a weak pulse, not breathing and turning blue when a Mansfield Township police officer arrived, authorities say.
A 19-year-old man living in a Mansfield Township apartment complex was revived by police following a heroin overdose.
Police say the man, whose name wasn't released, at 1:39 p.m. Saturday was unconscious with a weak pulse, not breathing and turning blue when a Mansfield Township police officer arrived.
An officer then administered a dose from the state-issued nasal Narcan kit and rescue breathing.
Emergency medical technicians took over and a short while later, the teen began to breath on his own. He was then transported to the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
Heroin was found at the apartment and seized by police.
