In addition to the adults, there were 2 children in the vehicle, police say.
Two people were transported late Tuesday afternoon to area hospitals after a small SUV struck a tree in Greenwich Township, police report.
Hannah Massaquoi, 67, of Highland Court in Lopatcong Township, was driving the Volkswagen Tiguan when it left the 100 block of Beattys Road on a sharp curve and hit the tree, township police said.
Hannah Massaquoi was taken by Lopatcong EMS to St. Luke's Hospital in Phillipsburg, while passenger Richard Massaquoi, 74, was taken by Greenwich EMS to St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill, police said. Children ages 5 and 7 were also in the vehicle, police said. It did not appear they were injured.

Stewartsville firefighters cut back parts of the tree to allow access to the vehicle, police said.
The accident remains under investigation but there is no evidence of impaired driving, police said.
