Man was unresponsive, but breathing when police arrived at a Mansfield Village apartment, authorities say.
A 32-year-old Mansfield Township man was found unresponsive in a bath tub following an apparent drug overdose from synthetic marijuana, authorities say.
Police arrived at 10:19 a.m. Friday to an apartment in Mansfield Village. Officers found the man partially in the tub and unconscious, but breathing, police say.
Police did not identify the man, but said first aid was rendered and medics transported him to Hackettstown Hospital for further treatment. His condition was unknown Wednesday.
An investigation revealed he had smoked synthetic marijuana just prior to the incident, police say.
Health officials say side effects of synthetic marijuana, also known as K2 or spice, include increased heart rate and blood pressure, psychotic episodes and seizures.
