Twenty-nine schools from three counties are busy rehearsing for productions that begin as early as March 3.
The State Theatre Center for the Arts announced Tuesday that this year's Freddy Awards program will be held Thursday, May 26, at the Downtown Easton theater.
The 2016 Freddy Awards will be the 14th year for the show, which recognizes exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of high school musical theater in Lehigh, Northampton and Warren counties.
Twenty-nine schools will participate, organizers said. Check here for participating schools, their shows and showtimes.
The three-hour awards program will air live at 7 p.m. May 26 on Channel 69 WFMZ-TV. The show will be co-hosted by Ed Hanna, of WFMZ, and Shelley Brown, the theater's president and CEO.
