Parades are scheduled over two weekends, from Hackettstown to Allentown and beyond.
Saturday marks the start of two weekends' worth of St. Patrick's Day parades in and around the Lehigh Valley.
Here is a look at what's planned.
Bethlehem
The sixth annual Celtic Class Alliance Parade of the Shamrocks kicks off 1 p.m. Saturday from 10th Avenue and West Broad Street and heads east on Broad to Main Street, then south to under the Hill-to-Hill Bridge. It features local high school and middle school bands, community groups, pipe bands, dancing groups, dignitaries and businesses.

Hackettstown
The Hackettstown Business Improvement District's eighth annual St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, led by Grand Marshal William Burke. This year's installment includes more than 50 participants, including Rory O'Moore Pipes and Drums, the Rampant Lion Pipe Band, Junior and Senior Colonial Musketeers, the Hackettstown High School Tiger Marching Band, Slattery Irish Dance School, the Heritage Irish Dance Company and local business, services, volunteer and community groups.
Hackettstown police say that beginning about 3:30 p.m. for the parade, Main Street (Route 46) will be closed between Liberty and Warren streets and Mountain Avenue (Route 182) will be closed between Main Street and Victoria Lane. Police will be directing traffic around the closure, police Sgt. Darren Tynan said.
No parking will be enforced beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday on Main Street between Grand Avenue and Warren Street; Washington Street between Church and Valentine streets; Valentine Street between Main and Beatty streets; Madison, Monroe and Jefferson streets, all between Valentine Street and Grand Avenue; Washington Street between Warren Street and Bells Lane; Victoria Lane between Mountain Avenue and Mitchell Road; and Bells Lane between Mountain Avenue and Washington Street. Any vehicles parked in any of those areas will be ticketed and towed, police said.
Jim Thorpe
It's a bit of a drive but quite a spectacle. The 19th annual Carbon County Saint Patrick's Day Parade starts at 1 p.m. Sunday along Broadway in Jim Thorpe, the county seat.
Allentown
Billed as the Lehigh Valley's oldest Irish celebration, Allentown's 59th annual St. Patrick's Parade is scheduled 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 20. It features 10 pipe bands, eight divisions and more than 2,000 marchers from organizations, schools, companies and community groups throughout the region. It also caps a week's worth of events, beginning with a West End pub crawl Saturday.
The route is north on North 19th Street, west on Tilghman Street, south on North 25th Street and east on Liberty Street.
