A man found napping in the hallway of an apartment complex was awakened by police and charged with marijuana possession.
Hackettstown police found Christian Hidalgo-Gallegos, 24, of Mansfield Township, allegedly passed out in a hallway of the complex in the 100 block of Main Street.
Officers at the scene woke up Hidalgo-Gallegos. They then detected the odor of an alcohol beverage and burnt marijuana, police said.
Hidalgo-Gallegos told police he was waiting for a taxi and decided to nap in the hallway. Police searched him and found two plastic bags of marijuana and a glass smoking pipe with burnt marijuana.
Hidalgo-Gallegos is charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper behavior and disorderly conduct. He was released, pending a court appearance.
