Lopatcong Township police are asking for help identifying a man who they say robbed a Route 22 gas station at knifepoint Friday night.
Police were called about 10 p.m. to the Eagle Gas station for a reported armed robbery. The suspect brandished a large knife, jumped the counter and chased the employee outside, township police said in a news release Saturday.
He ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash, heading west on Route 22, police said.
The man was between 5 feet 9 inches and six feet tall, wearing a maroon zip-up hoodie, white sneakers and long, dark shorts.
