Half the proceeds from a local 5K will go to a scholarship fund in late high school quarterback Evan Murray's name.
"I know it is a very small gesture but we are one strong community and together we stand as a family," Washington Borough Recreation Chairman Victor Cioni said in a Facebook post.

Murray, an honor student and three-sport athlete at Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington Township, died after being injured in a game last week.
There has been an outpouring of grief and support from the community and other school districts.
The fourth annual Washington 5K Run is scheduled rain or shine for 10 a.m. Oct. 10 at Meadow Breeze Park in the borough. A one-mile kids' run follows at 10:45.
