The five sending districts will all start on schedule.
A delayed opening for Phillipsburg schools has no impact on the five districts that send students to the high school.
The Phillipsburg School District announced Tuesday that classes across that district will begin Sept. 12 -- not Sept. 8 as originally scheduled. Final preparations in the new high school, which has been years in the making, was cited as the reason.
However, the five sending districts confirmed Wednesday that they will all open as planned:
Tuesday, Sept. 6: Bloomsbury, Lopatcong and Pohatcong.
Thursday, Sept. 8: Alpha and Greenwich.
When school starts across the Lehigh Valley
For students in Phillipsburg, the delay in the school year's start will not eat into the district's four snow days, or impact any athletics.
However, it will push the end of the school year back two days from June 14 to 16.
