Burglars are rifling through unlocked cars in at least one Warren County neighborhood.
Several vehicles in recent weeks have been broken into and valuables stolen across Hackettstown neighborhoods, police said.
Specifically, officers have responded to reports along Hurley Drive, Seymour Road and Seymour Terrace.
Police are urging residents to lock vehicles and keep valuables inside. In all the cases, vehicles were left unlocked, said Sgt. Darren Tynan, the department's public information officer.
Items stolen included electronics, purses, coins and wallets.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3302.
