Injuries were reported.
A crash was reported early Wednesday morning on Route 22 in Lopatcong Township.
The wreck happened just before 6 a.m. at South First Street, the Warren County Department of Public Safety said.
Emergency dispatches said there were injuries.
MORE: Crash, separate vehicle fire
It wasn't immediately clear how many vehicles were involved. A light rain was falling and roads were wet.
A traffic signal was still down at that hour not far away on the highway east of Roseberry Street, closing the westbound right and middle lanes following an incident late Tuesday night, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.
The crash was cleared about 6:40 a.m. and lanes were reopened about 6:40 a.m. in both directions, dispatches and the department of public safety report.
But the DOT and the county at 6:50 a.m. showed lanes still shut by the down traffic light.
