Horse rider flown for treatment after accident (PHOTOS)

The juvenile female was injured at an indoor equestrian center in Franklin Township, Warren County.

A juvenile female horse rider was flown for treatment after being injured Thursday at an indoor equestrian facility in Warren County, New Jersey State Police at Washington said.

Authorities were called to the incident about 5:18 p.m. to Elm Brook Farm, 48 Millbrook Road in Franklin Township.

A trooper described the girl as conscious and alert when being prepared to be flown out, aboard Atlantic Air One, to an area hospital for treatment.

A woman who answered the phone Thursday night at Elm Brook Farm declined to comment.

Details of how the girl was injured were not immediately available.

She was transported from the riding facility to a landing zone at the Franklin Rescue Squads's building on Asbury Broadway Road by the Washington Rescue Squad and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center, according to reports from the scene.

The Franklin Township Fire Department assisted with setting up the landing zone.
