Another man was charged when he arrived at the house to deliver marijuana, police said.
Hackettstown police say they found 49 wax packets of heroin when officers arrived at a home to serve a 20-year-old with a warrant.
Ian Rossi, of 55 Main St., at 8:10 p.m. Sunday was served with the criminal municipal court warrant for possession of a hypodermic needle.
Aside from the heroin, police said Rossi also had in his possession several empty heroin wax folds and five hypodermic syringes. Officers also charged Justin Vandermark, 22, of Hackettstown, who arrived at the house to deliver marijuana, police said.
Vandermark was found to be in possession of heroin, marijuana and a glass pipe with burnt marijuana. He also was found to be under the influence of heroin at the time of the arrest, according to police.
Rossi is charged with possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sent to the Warren County jail.
Vandermark is charged with possession of heroin, distribution of marijuana, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, under the influence of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia He was released pending a court appearance.
