'We're a small business and we're hoping for change,' said SCC Concrete owner Rocky Stine.
Rocky Stine and his workers huddled around a laptop to watch one change, and they're hoping for more.
"Everyone here is a Trump supporter. Everyone, I think, is a supporter of change," said Stine, the owner of SCC Concrete in Lopatcong Township, as he and his staff watched a livestream of President Donald Trump's inauguration on Friday.
They celebrated the event with an extended lunch that included ribs smoked out back, homemade stuffed mushrooms, an apple pie (because nothing is more American, right?) and a sheet cake that said "God bless President Trump."
Stine said they hope the new president will enact policies that will help business, like reducing the cost of health care.
Trump: 'You will never be ignored again'
"We're a small business and we're hoping for change here," he said, adding that more money could mean new trucks and bigger jobs for the business at 1051 River Road.
Contractors and supporters of both candidates were invited to Friday's extended lunch. The crew offered commentary and debate as outgoing President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama were shown leaving, but Stine said it is his hope that both Republicans and Democrats can come together.
