UPDATE: 1 hurt in Route 31 crash, Washington Township police report
A vehicle crash into a pole Saturday on Route 31 caused a power outage for about 200 residents in the Washington area, according to a power company spokeswoman.
Washington Township police said on social media that the road is down to one lane north of Route 57 and recommend drivers find alternate routes around the area.
Motor vehicle accident on Route31 in the area of the car wash in Washington. Use alternate route if possible. Traffic down to one lane at this time.

Police did not immediately provide more information about the crash.
A spokeswoman for Jersey Central Power & Light parent company First Energy said 204 customers lost power between noon and 1 p.m.
All have been restored, she said.
