The Franklin Township resident suffered a seizure, Washington Township police say.
A Franklin Township man died Wednesday afternoon after a crash in Washington that involved a medical issue, police say.
Richard Marshall, no age given, was driving a blue BMW about 4:35 p.m. on Brass Castle Road when he wrecked near Route 57, the vehicle ending up straddling a retention basin, Washington Township police Lt. John Kaufmann said.
Marshall had suffered a seizure and was unconscious and unresponsive when officers got to him, Kaufmann said. They began CPR and attempts to save Marshall's life continued when the Washington Emergency Squad arrived, Kaufmann added.

Marshall was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center, Kaufmann said.
The Morris County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of Marshall's death.
The investigation continues as it wasn't immediately clear if the seizure happened before the crash or was the result of it.
